Expert Steak & Wine Pairings

From dryer reds for lean cuts of meat to bold wines for more marbled cuts, view our favorite tips for pairing steak with the perfect varietal.

Rosé All day

Rosé is an extremely versatile wine that can be enjoyed with a wide variety of foods at any time of the day. It's perfect for brunch, pool-side sipping and even pairs well with lobster and barbecue. Lighter rosés tend to be bright and crisp while dark rosés are more full-bodied and potentially sweeter depending on the varietal.

Selecting Wine for Parties

There's lots to consider if you're bringing a bottle of wine to a party. As a general rule of thumb, if the gathering is taking place during the day, opt for a lighter varietal. Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio and even unoaked Reds have a refreshing profile perfect for daytime sipping. For parties after dark, opt for something bolder. Cabernet Sauvignon is always a safe bet, while red blends are a bit more daring!

Chilling Champagne

To get the perfect temp, the experts at Veuve Clicquot recommend 30 minutes in a bucket filled with half water and half ice, or chilling for half a day in the fridge.
