Rombauer Vineyards has been producing acclaimed wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and the Sierra Foothills since 1980, when it was founded by Koerner and Joan Rombauer. Still family-owned and operated, the winery is known for its exceptional vineyard sites and family-style hospitality. INSPIRED BY "THE JOY OF COOKING"

Koerner Rombauer’s ancestors had deep roots in the winegrowing region of Rheingau, Germany, and their passion for food and wine was passed down to him. Koerner’s great aunt Irma Rombauer wrote the internationally renowned cookbook, "The Joy of Cooking," which has been in print continuously since 1936 and has sold more than 20 million copies. Our chefs used her cookbook as an inspiration for the evening's dessert course, a decadent Rombauer Jam Cake with vanilla bean icing and berry jam.

WINEMAKING PROCESSES AND TECHNIQUES

Rombauer has achieved consistency of style — distinctive, fruit-driven wines — while continually refining their winemaking practices. The winery embraces both traditional and cutting-edge practices in the vineyard and cellar to make certain each wine gets the customized attention it needs.

THE MAIN COURSE

A sizzling Filet with Burgundy Demi-glace, accompanied by Roasted Artichokes & Mushrooms, and Baked au Gratin Potatoes, will be paired with a glass of Rombauer Cabernet Sauvignon. This beloved Cabernet stands up to the full-bodied texture and robust flavors of this savory dish, created especially by our chefs for this exclusive event.

The Rombauer winemakers believe it’s an honor and responsibility to be good stewards of their vineyards as they strive to make the finest wines in the world. Sustainable practices are used whenever possible in the vineyards and at the winery to protect and preserve the land for future generations.
