You’re invited to our May TasteMaker Wine Dinner featuring The Prisoner Wine Company. The Prisoner Wine Company has always forged its own path focusing more on blends than single variety wines. Our chefs used the same approach with a five-course pairing menu full of adventurous dishes — from Chilled King Salmon to Duck Potstickers and Pears poached in wine for dessert. This dinner is designed to be defiantly different. Pull up a seat and savor every sip.

THE Vineyards

The Prisoner Wine Company's grapes stem from more than 80 vineyards throughout the Napa Valley region each lot creating a blend that’s just as robust as it is intriguing.

Just who is “The Prisoner?”

The artwork found on each bottle is just as intriguing as the wines themselves. Famous for a drawing called “The Little Prisoner,” the original etching was a gift from Dave’s mother, who was an art major. This piece of artwork hung in his bedroom for years and ultimately inspired the packaging, helping to evoke a dark and mysterious image of the brand. Today, each label has a distinct image that helps to tell the story of the wine about to be enjoyed. Explore the labels below.

Many of The Prisoner Wine Company’s 80+ vineyard partners have been with the company from the very beginning — from the Solari Family Vineyards in Calistoga, where old school sensibilities meet new techniques, to the Korte Ranch in St. Helena, a vineyard whose diligence outlasted the Prohibition and has sustained four generations.
