Steak house spearheads fifth TasteMaker dinner of 2019 with France’s most iconic champagne house
WINTER PARK, Fla., Aug. 14, 2019
– This August, Ruth's Chris Steak House features supreme French winery, Veuve Clicquot, for a French inspired five-course dinner as part of the Ruth’s Chris TasteMaker Dinner series. Through this one-of-a-kind dinner experience, guests have the opportunity to taste the world’s best champagnes alongside an exceptional five-course meal crafted by the team of executive chefs at Ruth’s Chris.
“We took inspiration for our menu from Veuve Clicquot’s French roots to create dishes like duck confit and apple tarte tatin, while also incorporating our own by featuring our signature filet with a buttered crab cake topping.” said chef Abdiel Aleman, vice president of culinary development for Ruth's Chris Steak House. “We’re excited to share these five exclusive pairings with our guests.”
Back by popular demand for the fifth year in a row, Ruth’s Chris is featuring Veuve Clicquot for this five-course dinner. Pulling on many different aspects of French cuisine, the dinner features menu items such as lobster agnolotti with tomato confit and lemon vinaigrette, filet mignon and buttered crab cake with pommes anna, asparagus frites with a roasted red pepper sauce and an apple tarte tatin with cinnamon crème Chantilly for dessert. The second course even features duck confit and white bean cassoulet with an orange demi glaze paired with a refreshing glass of Veuve Clicquot Rosé.
Both Ruth’s Chris and Veuve Clicquot have a rich history ripe with tradition and innovation. More than 50 years ago, Ruth Fertel started Ruth’s Chris Steak House and since then has grown to be one of the most prominent fine dining steak houses around the world. Ruth’s commitment to quality has never faltered and her legacy continues to live on today in each of the over 150 locations. The Veuve Clicquot story began more than 200 years ago by Madame Clicquot, who like Ruth, was a female pioneer. Today, Madame Clicquot’s innovations in champagne production are world-renowned and the champagne she created is one of the most celebrated wines. Much like Ruth’s Chris, the winery celebrates all occasions both big and small and its focus on quality shines through in all of its offerings.
