When Ruth’s Chris of Ann Arbor opens its doors to the public on Monday, May 11, the greater Ann Arbor region will be reflected in everything from its décor to crisp, white linens dressing the approximately 10,000 sq. ft., two-story restaurant’s dining tables.
That’s because Ruth’s Chris Steak House sees its restaurant as more than an incredible dining experience; it is also a supporter of community collaboration and involvement, said Rohit Mehra, general manager of Ruth’s Chris Steak House of Ann Arbor, 314 S. Fourth St.
“Ruth’s Chris commitment to superior-quality ingredients, first-class service and passion for dining are part of our mission and we’re thrilled to represent the best of Ann Arbor in all that we do, from the talent of our more than 70 local employees to partnering with more than 30 area vendors,” explained Mehra. This includes offering Zingerman’s specialty artisan breads as part of Ruth’s Chris of Ann Arbor’s menu and Gelardi Produce of Brighton for seasonal, quality produce.
Additionally, Mehra’s team has purchased the diverse works of three area artists, Carolyn Reed Barritt, Elizabeth Schwartz and Lynda Cole, displaying a total of seven paintings throughout its interior from these local women.
Since development of the restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor began last fall, the team at Ruth’s Chris of Ann Arbor has partnered with Spark of Ann Arbor to host a Career Fair, and became members of the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Chamber of Commerce, the Ann Arbor Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, and the Main Street Area Retail Association.
Located at 314 S. Fourth St. in downtown Ann Arbor, this upscale dining restaurant will open its doors to the public on May 11, 2015, bringing more than 70 jobs to the local community.
